Dr. Federico Cacciapuoti is a Professor in Department of Cardiovascular diseases at University of Naples, Italy. He was enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Naples in the Academic Year 1966-67. He also worked as Internal doctor at the Institute of Special Medical Pathology and Clinical Methodology at the University of Naples from 1972-1973.In the Academic Year 1973-74, he wins a biennial scholarship for training, for didactic and scientific training to be held at the Institute of Special Medical Pathology and Clinical Methodology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Naples. Dr. Federico Cacciapuoti was appointed as an Associate Professor in Gerontology and Geriatrics at University of Naples, Italy. In 1991 he joined the Chair of Medical Therapy and, starting from A 1997-98, he was appointed Professor Associate to the Chair of Internal Medicine and this assignment still covers. In 1996 Dr. Federico Cacciapuoti was also assigned the task of teaching in Echocardiography at School of Specialization in Nuclear Medicine at the Second University of Naples. Starting from the academic year 1998-99 he is assigned the task of the Cardiology Teaching and Vascular Diseases at the School of Specialization in Diabetes and Metabolism Diseases at the same University.

Article Preparation Guidelines

Manuscript title: The article title should not exceed more than 30 words. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-15)

Author Information: Mention complete names and affiliation of all authors and include complete details of corresponding author such as Telephone number, email id and Fax. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

Abstract: The abstract should be concise and briefly explain the purpose of the research, the principle results and the conclusion. It should not be more than 350. Authors should mention minimum of 3 key words. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

Text:

Introduction: It should clearly State the objectives of the work and also provide the adequate background information, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

Materials and Methods: This part should provide complete details that would facilitate all procedures to be reciprocated. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

Results: The results part should be clear and explain concisely. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

Conclusions: These sections should clearly explain the importance and relevance of the article. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

Acknowledgement: Mention the individuals, institutions, grant details or research centers who contributed help during the research period. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11) Conflicts of Interest: Kindly mention any potential conflicts of interest. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

Funding: Kindly mention if any funding or grants approve for the study. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

References: The style of referencing used is the Vancouver style. Author name followed by initials, Article title, journal title, Year of publication, volume number, issue number and page number. (Times New Roman font, bold, font size-11)

Tables: All the tables should be cited in the text and description should be given below the table.

Figures: Author are requested to provide high-resolution images,. The aim of the figure legend should be to describe the key messages of the figure and the figure should also be discussed in the text. If a figure has been published before, authors need to submit written permission letter from the copyright holder to reproduce the materials. Figure legend should begin with term 'Figure' followed by figure number (e.g. 'Figure 1').

Article Processing Fee: Medical press open access is a self-funded open access publisher and its operation solely depends on the fee received from the authors.

Authors are requested to make payment once the article has been accepted for publication.
